F.A.R. Maremma - Fabbrica Ambiente Rurale Maremma – is a non-profit limited liability consortium and it was founded in 2002 by the union of Consorzio Qualità Maremma LAG and Amiata LAG s.c.r.l. The initiatives, which are fostered and supported by the consortium, are aimed at increasing the economic, the cultural and the occupational development in the area of the Province of Grosseto. Its main purpose is to promote the integrated development of rural areas, increasing the value of the resources as well as of the local products. From its incorporation onward, F.A.R. Maremma have dealt both with the organization and with the management of the Community Initiative “Leader Plus” (2000-2006) in its jurisdiction area, for the development and for the re-launching of rural areas. The Society is currently and priority carrying out both the actions and the activities which are provided by the Regulation E.C. n.1698/05 (Rural Development Programme for Tuscany Region for the period 2007-2013) and connected with the new Communitarian Programme Asse IV “Leader Approach”, as well as with the support activity to the local economic development also in other sectors such as the animation and the support to rural development, the environmental resources, the valorisation and the promotion of local products, the services -of the advanced service sector too- , training and vocational guidance. For the conclusion of the six year- programme (2000-2006) (I. C. Leader Plus) F.A.R. Maremma undertook a careful process of reflection and close examination on the effectiveness of the carried out activities and on the performed projects thanks to Leader initiative on the territory of Grosseto Province. Hence, the company priority sets forth the shared aim of promoting and strengthening both the experiences and the initiatives undertaken from its incorporation, thanks to the energies, to the collaboration and to the competences activated during the last years.
